Who We Are

The Center for Learning and Organizational Change (CLOC) at Northwestern University is the focal point for bringing together the extended community of practitioners, faculty, graduate students and alumni associated with the Master of Science in Learning and Organizational Change (MSLOC) Program and the Master's of Education programs in Organizational Development & Workplace Learning (ODWL) and Corporate Training & Development.

CLOC members bring a diverse set of organizational contexts and expertise to the community -- but all are focused on how best to create value by applying relevant theories and practices of performance-driven learning, knowledge management and strategic change. Individuals become members of the CLOC through a variety of affiliations:
  • CLOC Partner Organizations include corporations, professional firms, not-for-profit organizations and educational and government institutions. By inviting students to collaborate with you or your organization to design and deliver strategic learning and performance initiatives, you can establish CLOC connections that will enhance your own learning and development while creating value for your organization and supporting the development of MSLOC graduate students. It's a win-win-win opportunity! Read more>
  • Faculty Members associated with the CLOC offer professional expertise and academic credentials across the three core disciplines that are the foundation of the MSLOC program: learning and performance, knowledge management and strategic change. Read more>
  • Current MSLOC Students and Alumni of Northwestern University's MSLOC program and its predecessor programs, ODWL and Corporate Training & Development, bring a passion for undestanding learning and organizational change as well as a common frame of reference based on their graduate experiences. Their organizational and professional backgrounds span a broad and diverse range of experiences. Students and alumni may work in corporate environments or as global consultants, education reformers or social entrepreneurs.
