She is currently conducting : The Northwestern Juvenile Project:a longitudinal study of a sample of 1800 youth who previously were subjects in her baseline study of juvenile detainees. She and her staff are examining the changing alcohol, drug and mental health service needs of these high-risk youth, their use of services and behaviors that put them at increased risk for violence, drug use and HIV/AIDS.
