Preview Days

Master of Science in Higher Education and Policy Professional development

March 2018

Preview Northwestern Days is a two-day special event for applicants who are admitted to the program for the January early admission deadline. At this event, admitted students interview for internships and graduate assistantships, meet with an academic adviser, and get to know faculty, alumni, current students and future classmates.

Invitations will be sent to admitted students in February 2018.

What to Expect

Preview Northwestern Days is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the MS in Higher Education Administration and Policy Program. Many current students look back on their Preview Days experience as a time when they first met new classmates, connected with students and faculty, and learned how the program fit with their specific interests within the field of higher education.

Interviews for internships and graduate assistantships will be scheduled for each prospective student based on the interests indicated in the application for admission, as well as the student's schedule and the availability of internship supervisors. Interviews are short and are as much about helping students learn which internships most interest them as they are about the interviewer deciding which interns will be the best fit for their office. Each student receives a personalized schedule before Preview Days so they have an opportunity to research the offices where they will be interviewing.

Business attire is appropriate for the interviews, but make sure to wear comfortable shoes, as you will be walking to different areas of the campus for interviews.
