Scott Ogawa is in the department of Economics at Northwestern. He grew up in Hawaii, then studied at Stanford, and then taught in Seattle before graduate school. Currently he lives in Chicago. His research within the context of education includes experimental economics as well as teacher selection and student sorting between classrooms. One particular question he has asked: Do students who pay more for their education study more, and if so why? His non-academic interests include the two most beautiful games: Soccer and Go.  Currently Scott is a lecturer with Northwestern University's Department of Economics.
