Authorization for Dual Registration

Policy

If you are a student in the secondary or elementary programs, you may have undergraduate deficiency courses to take. If you take these deficiencies through the regular "day school," you may register for them normally through CAESAR. However, you may find that you would prefer to take one or more of the deficiencies through Northwestern's night school, the School of Continuing Studies (SCS).

There are a few things to keep in mind if you register for an SCS class, however. First and foremost, do not register for SCS classes via CAESAR. Instead, download an Authorization for Dual Registration form, and submit the completed form to Pat Rodriguez in the MSEd office (you may fax it to Pat's attention at 847/467-2495). This is necessary so that you get billed correctly. ... SCS classes cost less than day school classes, so you will want to make sure you get that discount.

If you choose to drop an SCS class, the refund schedule is not the same as the refund schedule for MSEd or day school classes. If you are considering dropping an SCS class, please consult the School's refund schedule.
