Learn differently. Think differently. Consult differently. Lead differently.
MSLOC fosters a new way of thinking about organizational issues that enables you to more successfully lead strategic and sustainable change as a leader, consultant or change agent. The difference begins with our distinctive academic focus on learning and performance, strategy and knowledge, and strategic change. But the complete MSLOC experience includes much more.
A community created through collaboration and learning by doing
The MSLOC program focuses on establishing a strong sense of community through activities such as a cohort-based action learning project and student-developed programs to showcase exemplary work. Collaborative efforts incorporating learning-by-doing are a foundation of the program. Other master’s programs that attract talented and ambitious students often have an overly competitive culture. The very talented and achievement-oriented students in MSLOC prefer a supportive community that seeks to help each other learn and succeed together.
Innovation in the classroom
Classes are facilitated to provide a learning environment rich in discussion, sharing and collaboration among students and faculty. The program continuously integrates new learning technologies, student projects and learning approaches to foster an innovative learning environment.
Customized study and individual research
You will build a tailored plan of study to guide your individual learning experiences and build expertise in areas important to your career. Elective choices, the practicum project and capstone research allow you to develop expertise in areas of special interest.
Diverse student backgrounds
The diversity of student backgrounds and experiences is consistently mentioned as one of the program’s notable distinctions. This is possible, in part, because the MSLOC program offers full-time, part-time and non-degree options designed to attract a broad base of experienced professionals who share the same interest in learning and change but who differ in their work/life schedules. By design, each MSLOC course benefits from a broad mix of students.
