- 'Real-World' Road Salt Investigation Sparks Science Learning
The GEODE Initiative at SESP recently received a BP Leader Award to develop instructional materials and train Chicago-area teachers to implement an innovative science unit on the impact of road salt on the environment.

SESP has its first two Fitzgerald Fellows, Marcella Ellis and Michelle Bueche, who were awarded Marjorie Gosselin Fitzgerald Fellowships for their studies in elementary school teaching through the MSEd program.

With 51 new students, the School of Education and Social Policy welcomed its largest freshman class in recent history this year, including students from across the United States.
