Sam Dyson, a Chicago physics teacher who is a facilitator in the School of Education and Social Policy's NU-TEACH alternative certification program, was selected as one of 10 winners of the Golden Apple Award for Teaching Excellence in 2007.

David Kane, a senior social policy major from Foster City, California, was awarded a 2007 Congressional Hunger Fund Fellowship, which provides both grassroots and public policy experience.
5/22/07 - SESP Sophomore Hilary Bowen Named MVP of Champ Lacrosse Team
SESP sophomore Hilary Bowen was Most Valuable Player of the championship Northwestern women's lacrosse team that won the NCAA championship on May 27. Hannah Nielsen was named a 2007 All-American.
5/28/07 - Senior Honors Students Present Research
School of Education and Social Policy (SESP) seniors in the undergraduate honors program presented posters of their research projects on June 1 at Annenberg Hall.
