Wayne Watson (BS69, MA70, PhD72), chancellor of the City Colleges of Chicago, brought his expertise in higher education to the School of Education and Social Policy by teaching a new elective in the Higher Education Administration and Policy Program.
8/15/07 - CTD Offers Seminar on Vocabulary Development
The Center for Talent Development will host a one-day seminar on September 15 featuring Michael Clay Thompson, noted author, consultant and educator of gifted children, on the topic of vocabulary instruction.

The School of Education and Social Policy welcomes an outstanding group of 33 incoming freshmen, who have record-breaking test scores and grades.
8/21/07 - Three SESP Professors Receive Major W.T. Grant Foundation Awards
The William T. Grant Foundation awarded major research grants to SESP went to SESP professors Greg Duncan, Barton Hirsch and Larry Hedges for their research projects on how social settings affect youth.
