4/21/10 - Center for Talent Development Student Presents Video about Award-Winning 'Green' Invention on ABC-TV
On ABC-TV, Center for Talent Development student Jonny Cohen presents his invention for retrofitting buses with "green shields" to reduce carbon emissions. The Highland Park freshman started with his idea for a CTD aerodynamics project and won a $25,000 grant through Pepsi's Refresh Project.
4/21/10 - Civic Engagement Students Win Alumnae Grant
Eight students in the SESP Civic Engagement Certificate Program received a grant of $3,720 from the Alumnae of Northwestern to support an innovative outreach initiative they designed for their capstone project. The project initiates a leadership program at Evanston Township High School.

Northwestern University's School of Education and Social Policy (SESP) ranks number eight in the nation, according to the new 2011 ranking of graduate schools of education by U.S.News & World Report.
