Biography
Arthur Nielsen, M.D. is a psychiatrist and psychoanalyst specializing in the treatment of couples. He is a faculty member at the Chicago Institute for Psychoanalysis, a Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Northwestern Med School, and a faculty member at Northwestern's Family Institute. He is the originator of SESP/NU’s course, “Marriage 101: Building Loving and Lasting Relationships”. He thanks his wife of 24 years for many insights into the rewards and difficulties of marriage, and his three daughters for some ideas about the challenges of relationships for younger people.
