Research Interests
Year Title 2009 Neighborhood Safety and Moving to Opportunity: Understanding Gender and Life Course Differences using a Mixed-Methods Approach
Poverty, neighborhoods, families, race/ethnicity, housing mobility, public housing, social inequality, social policy. Specifically, I am interested in how the neighborhood context, especially exposure to poverty, impacts the development of children and youth, and the role for social policy to improve these contexts. More broadly, I am interested in how social policy can help improve the lives of low-income families.
