BiographyPrior to joining Northwestern, Anna Rodriguez was a public school educator in a rural school district in Missouri and then in Chicago Public Schools. She taught social studies, focusing on world geography and early American History, for seven years. In 2010, she became a school counselor and worked as a generalist in the areas of academic, personal social, and career guidance in Chicago Public Schools. Rodriguez is also a Licensed Professional Counselor. She grew up in rural Missouri and is a first-generation college graduate. Married with one son, Rodriguez says she's a "huge animal lover."
