BiographyKristin Lems, EdD, has been a Fulbright Scholar in ESL teacher education in Algeria and most recently in Mongolia, and she has worked as a English Language Specialist in Chile. She has authored or edited several books, including Teaching Reading in a New Language: Linguistic Considerations (Guilford, 2010); her dissertation won a finalist award from the International Reading Association for Outstanding Dissertation of 2005. In addition, she is an established singer-songwriter with eight albums of original songs.
