Biography

Dr. Robert W. Aaron is Executive Director of Student Affairs Assessment and Planning at Northwestern University. In this position he leads assessment, research, and planning support for over 30 administrative units that comprise the Division of Student Affairs. He came to Northwestern in 2016. 

Dr. Aaron earned his bachelor’s degree in music from University of Rochester, his master’s degree in higher education and student affairs from The Ohio State University, and his Ph.D. from Indiana University in higher education. Prior to Northwestern, Dr. Aaron worked in a variety of capacities in higher education for twenty years: He served in assessment and research-related positions at The Ohio State University, Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI), and the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE). In addition, he held multiple positions in student affairs at Virginia Commonwealth University.
