My research examines the dynamics of couple and family relationships and their influence on the cognitive, social, emotional, and physiological development of infants, children and adolescents. I am particularly interested in the effects of interparental conflict on child stress system functioning (i.e., cortisol levels) and its role in mediating effects of conflict on child functioning and development. I am also interested in policies, programs and interventions aimed at improving couple relationship functioning and their implications for child and family wellbeing.
