MS_ED 451 Special Topics: The Community College and Urban Education
This course examines the mission of the urban community college and the issues and challenges that affect the successful implementation of that mission. Current policy issues are analyzed in the context of political, fiscal and social realities. Areas of major importance within the community college structure are addressed (e.g.: governance; executive leadership; administration; finance; accreditation; good practice in instructional programs, student services and student life; media; technology; workforce development; partnerships; and outreach efforts).
