Academic Resources

In addition to the School of Education and Social Policy's (SESP) crackerjack advising staff, Northwestern has a variety of academic resources to support each student's personal and academic success! Here is a brief description of each resource and a link to that office's web site.

Each undergraduate has a degree auditor who works closely with our advising staff to ensure that the Undergraduate Residence Requirement and other graduation requirements are met. Degree auditors are assigned based on student last name:

M- Z Bunni Labahn

Students may change their official address through the Office of the Registrar.

The Office of Fellowships

This office assists students with their search for national and international fellowship competitions such as the Fulbright, Truman and Marshall as well as scholarship programs to help with college tuition. In the past two years, SESP graduates have received three Fulbrights, a CORO, and a Green Corps Fellowship.

The Study Abroad Office

This office has over 100 approved programs on every continent of the world (except Antarctica). Students contemplating studying abroad must attend a Study Abroad Information Session -— Study Abroad 101. These are offered weekly during the school year. At that session, detailed information and an application to study abroad are distributed. Contact the Study Abroad Office for days and times of the information sessions.

The Writing Place

This offers aid in organizing, writing and editing papers.
