The 11th Annual Higher Ed Reception (fourth annual as a stand-alone program) was hosted on Wednesday, May 13, 2015, in Annenberg Hall of Northwestern University’s main Evanston campus. Invitees included current MSHE students, staff, faculty, alumni, and the many friends of the program. Highlights from the event included formal remarks from the MSHE Director, Dr. Lois Trautvetter, who acknowledged and thanked the many stakeholders who help to make the program a success; and a few words from retiring faculty member and outgoing Director of the Northwestern Searle Center, Dr. Gregory Light, who joined the group via Skype. Dr. Light is currently conducting research in Israel, and though he is retiring from teaching at Northwestern, he is still quite active in his research. Dr. Light shared that “He will be watching” us, and we hope to see Dr. Light when he visits Evanston in the future or when we are near his new home-bases in the UK and Canada. If you weren’t able to attend the reception this year, we hope to see you soon at an upcoming event.
With #SESPlove,
MSHE staff
