Research Interests
My scholarship focuses on the development of inclusive and expansive classroom learning environments at predominately white institutions (PWIs) of higher education through the design and evaluation of faculty professional development experiences. Through the use of interpretive methods and a critical lens regarding the sociocultural identities that influence the practice of teaching and learning in these spaces, I will build upon existing learning sciences theory by extending it to a higher education setting, creating tools and interventions that empower faculty at PWIs to better meet the needs of an increasingly diverse student population.
