MSLOC Meetup Mixer May 2016

Annual MSLOC Meetup Mixer

May 26, 2011 by MSLOC

Dozens of students, alumni, and faculty attended MSLOC's Meetup Mixer on May 20, 2016 at the downtown Northwestern campus. This annual curated networking event celebrates the alums who generously share their expertise through the Meetup program. Several times during the academic year, Meetup pairs current students with alumni for informational interviews based on student preferences. Both participants expand their networks by meeting someone with similar interests, and students gain deeper insight into human capital career paths such as learning and development, change management, and talent management. This year, more than 50 MSLOC alums volunteered their time and expertise.  And 44 percent of students have taken advantage of the opportunity to connect through Meetup.

The Meetup Mixer is a by-invitation-only, happy hour event held just for Chicago-based Meetup participants. Students and their alum partners network with each other as well as other pairs in the program. Attendees at the spring event enjoyed appetizers and drinks as they caught up with friends and colleagues and made new connections within the supportive and vibrant MSLOC community.
