Associate Provost for University Enrollment, Northwestern University
BiographyMichael Mills has been Associate Provost for University Enrollment at Northwestern University since July 2005. He is responsible for admissions, financial aid and the registrar's office at the undergraduate level and coordinates those same functions in the graduate and professional schools. Before coming to Northwestern, Mills served as Director of Admission at Miami University of Ohio. Prior to assuming the position at Miami, he served for two years as Executive Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management at the University of Alaska and for four years as Director of Admissions and Financial Aid at Alaska Pacific University .
Mills is a graduate of Ohio State, where he received both bachelor’s and master's degrees. He has contributed articles on enrollment-related issues in such journals as The Journal of College Admission and Strategic Enrollment Management Monthly. He has also been a frequent presenter of papers at national conferences on enrollment management.
