- Course work background: social sciences recommended
- Relevant research or experience: required
- Interest in a multidisciplinary perspective, drawing on theory, methodology and research literatures from psychology, sociology, economics and political science

- Application fee
- TOEFL scores (no older than two years) if English is not the native language of the applicant (except in certain circumstances)
- Official GRE scores (no older than five years at time of matriculation) are required by the program
Students are accepted in HDSP for fall quarter matriculation only. Applicants must meet deadline of December 31.
