Biography

Dagny D. Bloland is a classroom teacher in the Chicago Public Schools. She has taught the English Methods and Foundations in Writing Processes courses at Northwestern since 1999. Previously she taught courses in qualitative research, English methods, and educational foundations at National-Louis University. In addition to teaching eighth grade English at Whitney M. Young Magnet High School in Chicago, she is also the school's curriculum director. She has been a National Board Certified Teacher since 2002 and has been an Illinois Writing Project professional development facilitator.
