Biography

Derek Drayer is a Senior Manager at Ernst & Young, working in International Tax, with a focus on Transfer Pricing. He currently works in London, where he heads the US Transfer Pricing Tax Desk, helping European companies navigate US tax and transfer pricing issues as they enter the US market. Prior to his rotation to London, Derek was at EY Seattle, assisting companies with both US and global transfer pricing planning, documentation, audit, and controversy issues as well as teaching Economics part time at Seattle University. Derek also did a rotation with EY Brazil.

Prior to joining EY, Derek was a co-founder and Vice President of Academic Outreach at Study Edge, an online education startup. At Study Edge, Derek was responsible for developing and recording Economic and Finance course content as well as developing relationships with various colleges and universities across Florida.

Derek has presented on transfer pricing at a wide array of conferences including Tax Executive Institute Conferences, the Nordic Tax Conference, Global Tax Spotlight Webcasts series, and similar. Derek focuses on both technology and consumer goods industries in the areas of intangible property ownership, global transfer pricing documentation, transfer pricing controversy, and operating model effectiveness.
